Hours of Operation

Winter Hours - January 1st thru to April 3, 2010

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:45 pm
  • Saturday 9 am to 12:45 pm

Spring Hours - Extended Hours at the Public Drop Off Depot - Monday April 5, 2010 thru to Saturday May 29th, 2010.  

  • Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6:45 pm
  • Saturday 8 am to 4:45 pm

Summer Hours - Monday May 31st, 2010 thru to Saturday Nov. 27, 2010 - 

  • Monday to Saturday 8 am to 4:45 pm

Winter Hours - will resume on Monday November 29, 2010 to April 2, 2011 -

  • Monday to Friday , 8:30 am to 3:45 pm
  • Saturday 9 am to 12:45 pm

The Public Drop Off Depot is located on the corner of E.C. Row and Central.  Please see "Tipping Fees" on the web site.  Charges may apply.

Method of Payment:  Cash, Account, Cheque - $25 charge will be applied against NSF cheques, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Drawdown Account - Drawdown constitutes payment in advance.  Payment is credited to your account and tipping fees are deducted after each use.  For more information call 519-776-6441 Ext. 433

Loads delivered in a rental vehicle, rental trailer or a dealer plated vehicle will be assessed a fee at a rate of $6.00/100kg.

Disposal of all recyclables, electronics, scrap metal and residential household chemical waste items is free.

  • $15.00 charge for items with a compressor
  • Unlimited trips and unlimited weight of tree trimmings, stumps, brush and leaves - free.
  • 4 loads annually $2.00 each, if load weights 0 - 100 kg.  Further loads weighing 0 - 100 kg AFTER 4 loads will be assessed a flat fee of $10.00 each.  Loads weighing more than 100 kg will be assessed as:  Over 100 kg. $9.75 / 100 kg. on total weight.  
  • Grass:  $2.00 per container.  Please see Grass Clippings price sheet
  • Free (8 tires or less)  Air must be removed from tires with a split rim.  Passenger, truck and off-road tires & tires of all sizes are accepted.  Excluded:  Bicycle & airplane tires.
  • Household chemical waste (HCW) must be brought to the Household Chemical Waste Depot.  Residents can dispose of Household Chemical Waste for free.
