Public Swimming
Public swimming is offered year-round at three indoor pools: Adie Knox Herman Recreational Complex at 1551 Wyandotte Street West; Gino & Liz Marcus Community Complex at 1168 Drouillard Road; and Windsor Water World at 400 Wyandotte Street East.
The fall rec swim session started Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
The winter/spring rec swim session will start Monday, January 9, 2012.
Adult Lengths
The fall schedule of adult lengths, water walking and aquafit started Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
The winter/spring adult lengths, water walking and aquafit session will start Monday, January 9, 2012.

Summer Outdoor Pools
Summer Outdoor Pools are now closed for the season. Parks and Recreation has five heated outdoor pools including three leisure pools featuring special water features. Central Pool, Lanspeary Pool, Mic Mac Pool, Remington Booster Pool and Riverside Centennial Pool are available for private rental in June.
Central Pool and Riverside Centennial Pool offer special water features and beach entry. Remington Booster Pool offers a water slide and a wade pool.
Summer Spray Pads
Five spray pads are now closed until late spring 2012.
There is no admission fee for the spray pad when open:
- AKO Park, 4270 Alice Street, adjacent to Constable John Atkinson Memorial Centre is open from 10 am to 8 pm. Washrooms open during spray pad open times.
- Fred Thomas Park at Windsor Water World, 400 Wyandotte Street East, is open from 9 am to 8 pm. No washrooms.
- Mic Mac Park near the pool, 1125 Prince Road, is open from 9 am to 8 pm. This spray pad is activated by stepping on the black dots located in the concrete floor.
- Kim Lucier Spraypad in Mic Mac Park is located near the baseball fields. Open from 10 am to 8 pm.
- Ford City Spray Pad in Drouillard Park, north of Essex Terminal Railway on Drouillard Road, is open from 10 am to 8 pm
Sandpoint Beach, located at 10300 Riverside Drive East, is now closed for the season.
