Bride in Park Setting

Weddings in the Parks

If you are looking for a venue that can provide a perfectly unique setting for your special day, look no further than one of our many beautiful parks located across the city. We offer something for every taste and theme, helping to make your wedding day a special one.

Jackson Park

Jackson Park is one of the most popular wedding sites in the city.  The park features some of the most magnificent formal gardens and fountains in all of Windsor.  For those planning a spring ceremony, you can look forward to a beautiful backdrop full of hundreds of flowering bulbs.  Later in the season, look forward to a ceremony in the midst of summer perennials and lush annuals.  This site can accommodate wedding ceremonies both large and small and has sufficient space to include canopies, trellises,  tables and chairs. Space is limited. Call today to reserve space for your big day: (519) 253-2300 ext 6716.

Riverfront Parks

Assumption Park, the Odette Sculpture Park, Alexander Park and other riverfront parks offer you beautiful scenery and a waterfront feel.  If you have always dreamed of having your wedding ceremony along the shores of the river, these sites are right for you.  Alexander Park includes a small gazebo and can accommodate approximately 150 to 200 people.  Another benefit to selecting Alexander Park is its close proximity to other riverfront parks such as Reaume-Coventry Gardens, the Bert Weeks Memorial Gardens as well as Dieppe Gardens--all ideal sites to take beautiful pictures.

Malden Park Visitor Centre

Consider the Malden Park Visitor Centre for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception. Nestled within acres of rolling naturalized parkland, though only minutes away from downtown, it can accommodate groups from 50-130 on two floors.  The outdoor covered patio can accomodate up to 150 guests. For rental information please call (519) 966-0462.

Outside Gazebos and Shelters

If you are interested in having your wedding in one of our city parks but would like to ensure that there is shelter from inclement weather, stage your wedding at one of our outdoor sheltered locations.

The following locations offer shelters that can host your wedding ceremony:

The talented staff at Parks and Recreation have been sharing the happiness of newly married couples for generations. Our award-winning gardens have always provided some of the city's favourite blooming backgrounds for formal and informal wedding ceremonies and photography.

Note:  Wedding ceremonies are welcomed at all parks except  Dieppe Gardens and Reaume Park/Coventry Gardens.

There is a nominal administration fee ($82.00) to reserve your date, location and time. Call (519) 253-2300, ext. 6716 for more information.
