Homes are available for persons 18 years of age and over who require 24-hour supervision upon the recommendation of their physician and are in need of assistance with daily living activities, meals, medication and other services.
Residents often include the frail elderly, psycho-geriatric, post-psychiatric, physically challenged and persons who are developmentally challenged.
Subsidies are available through needs testing, which requires an application and approval by Social Services.
