The Engineering & Corporate Projects Department is led by the City Engineer and is composed of four Divisions:

• Engineering Division - Wesley Hicks, P. Eng., Manager / Deputy City Engineer
• Geomatics Division - Marian Drouillard, Manager
• Right-of-Way Division - Wade Bondy, P. Eng., Manager

Corporate Projects Division

• Provides project management for major City of Windsor initiatives through estimating, budgeting, design, tendering and contract administration of both construction and non-construction projects.
• Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Development
• Border Infrastructure Fund

Engineering Division

• Oversees engineering, design and construction of infrastructure projects on the public right-of-way, including new roads, bridges, intersection improvements, sanitary and storm sewers, municipal drains, sidewalks, bus bays, and streetlighting, including estimating of Local Improvements.
• Responsibilities include overall project management through estimating, budgeting, design, tendering and contract administration through both city staff and consulting engineering firms, infrastructure system analysis and studies, and the investigation of basement flooding, analysis and reporting of same.

Geomatics Division

• Manages the City's Geographic Information System and provides CAD and GIS support for the Department and various Corporate Departments and Divisions.

Right-of-Way Division

• Oversees engineering, design and construction of new developments, and administers by-laws and policies for work by private citizens on the public right-of-way.

• Municipal service improvement programs offered include:
  • Local Improvment Petitions
    • Construction of new services on your street (full subdivision services, sewers, streetlighting, sidewalks, pavement widening)
  • Private Sewer Replacement
    • Replacement of sewer connection through annual contract
• All work on the Right-of-Way requires payment of an Indemnity Deposit.
